Her death breaks my heart. A beautiful and kind woman murdered in her city.
” Dear Renee, there are many tears for you, including my own tears.
You were a beautiful poet; you were a wonderful mother and a person with concern for our world.
I pray her child can be okay and I pray she knows.
We remember her.”

Seeing what’s happening in Minneapolis is terrifying. I had a conversation with my dad last night that was frustrating though not surprising — the sheriff is telling dad’s congregation that ICE would only go into their church if he says there’s a criminal in there. I said ICE does what it wants because local law enforcement is not running that show, but I don’t know if he really heard that message. These are terrible times and I don’t know that people are prepared for what’s already happening out there.
