I don’t drink coffee or alcohol or tea or soda, due to health issues. If I drink juices, I need to dilute them.
One of my more abstract poems is on the topic of drinks. It was published by Mania Magazine and you can find it here.

I love your poem, too and can relate to not drinking alcohol, soda, or coffee, though I do drink green tea. We need something healthy to ease the pain, not easy to find, but feel-good movies, music, and reading novels can distract me some.

Thanks, JoAnna! I can’t drink green or white tea, either, but do occasionally drink herbal tea. I used to love hot cocoa but can no longer drink that. I’m glad that you have found some things that can distract you when you need to be.

It’s cool how many different herbal teas are available now.

Yes! I don’t do many hot drinks, but there are definitely times when one is called for!

Thanks, Devon! You would be interested to know that I wrote it at the residency that gave birth to BHPC, so almost ten years ago. It does bring back to mind how exhausting and overwhelming that whole week was.
