I had to look up Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder. Risk for joint dislocations is not fun. Our dog had a tendency to get temporary joint dislocations that instantly corrected themselves but it hurt. I am not sure if that is related.

Many people with EDS/HSD do suffer dislocation or subluxation of joints. Because these are connective tissue disorders, they also affect different body systems, too. Things like GERD, dry eye, IBS, allergies, migraines, mast cell activation disorders, heart valve problems, and many more can have EDS/HSD as an underlying cause.

Thank you Joanne. I am learning a lot about this condition now, which was previously unknown to me.

I love a purple t-shirt. And awareness months are wonderful — the more we know, the better we all do.
