my paper clip bracelet
Following the example of Norwegians under Nazi occupation during World War II, some people in the United States have started wearing paper clips as a sign of our unity and our resistance to the erosion of our democracy.

Why is my instinct to take paper clips and cram them into an ICE gas tank? Just thinking of all the ways paper clips can help the cause. 🙂

LOL! I’m going for the non-destructive route. I wonder how long it will be before someone asks me why…

As soon as I read this, I reached into a nearby jar and picked out a random paperclip. It turned out to be a pink one, so to me it symbolizes that solidarity should be inter-gender, inter-racial, etc.

Yes! Unity and solidarity are for everyone. I believe that one of our great strengths in the US is that we have such a fantastic range of people with so many individual gifts and attributes that they offer to our communities. Every person has inherent dignity and is precious. (I’m drifting off into Catholic social justice doctrine here, too, but it all fits together.)
