First time I’ve seen this quote and what a beautiful way to look at “perfect”. The hubby and I laugh hard about the early days when he would say I hope you never change and I would snort in a rather unladylike way and say “good luck with that.” We were in our twenties and he thought we were perfect just as we were. I’m VERY lucky that I found someone who grew with me and learned that growth is change.

That’s beautiful, Laura! It’s something we have in common. B and I have been married for 43 years – and knew each other for eight years before that – and there has been a lot of growth and change over the decades. Having an understanding partner makes a world of difference.

This is an incredible quote, Joanne. I’ll have to add it to my list. 🙂 My hubby and I were fortunate, as well, to have met when we were young and have been married for 42 years, through good and bad, ups and downs. I still have a lot of changing to do, because I am far from perfect. (haha)
