How interesting! I’ve heard of them from the nursery rhyme (or is it a song?) but never seen one. Hot cross buns look pretty cool.

It’s both a nursery rhyme and a song. Hot cross buns are made with spiced, enriched dough, usually with raisins. B’s recipe used cinnamon, ginger, and cardamon. They were traditionally made for Good Friday, hence being marked with a cross, but they are usually available in stores in our area throughout Lent. In some places, you can buy them year-round. Home-made is definitely yummier, though!
