Our landscapers just brought us a new Kousa dogwood for our front yard to replace one that was dying.

  1. How nice! My uncle grafted a fig tree for me but, unfortunately, the “landscapers” who I had helping me when we built the beach house did not know what they were doing. They planted the tree in a hole to give it more moisture, which caused the leaves to develop rust and branches rot. I had my new, extraordinary landscaper dig it out of that hole and replant it, knowing full-well it was dangerous. The tree didn’t make it. Now I’m considering what to put in its place. (I obviously need to let go of this grudge against the landscapers for killing a plant my uncle so lovingly nourished. 🙂 )
