The Madrigal Choir of Binghamton is thrilled to announce that John M. Vaida will be our next artistic director, beginning in January, 2025, with his first concert with us scheduled for March 30th.
This celebratory announcement is brought to you as part of Linda’s One-Liner Wednesdays. Join us! Find out more here: https://lindaghill.com/2024/12/18/one-liner-wednesday-such-a-great-idea/

Joanne, I greatly appreciate your many posts : personal. political,
philosophical and musical.
Most importantly I wish you more and improved medical care and improved
health. I know, exploring the many and varied paths to wellness
is an exercise in patience.
I admire your aggressive approach and strength to pursue – in
reality, you know your body best !
I miss rehearsals and singing, continue to be interested in MCOB’s life
and now wonder, who is John Vaida. I felt unable to attend the always
beautiful Lessons and Carols evening. There were several years in
which both Chase and I enjoyed participating.
There is no longer a Binghamton paper delivered to Montrose. Can you
suggest another way I might read of Mr. Vaida’s work ?
May you and Yours enjoy the holiday season as is best for you and may
the coming year be good to you. Connie Page

Thanks so much for reading and commenting, Connie! There will be a bio for John going up on the MCOB website at some point but things are a bit tied up right now with the holidays.
Meanwhile, at https://issuu.com/wyomingseminary3/docs/22summer_journal_issuu, on pages 20-21 of the file, there is an article on John’s retirement from Wyoming Seminary a couple of years ago. He is currently dean of the local chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Earlier in his career, he also taught at Marywood. He is very accomplished and I’m sure MCOB will be in great hands.
Best wishes to you for the holiday season and the new year!
