Jury duty

Today, I did my civic duty and reported for jury duty at the county court.

I was there most of the day but was not seated on the jury.

I will post a bit more about the experience later in the week, being careful not to say anything about the case itself, as that would be wrong.

            1. I knew someone in another state who was made to report for jury duty even though she was nursing an infant. She was told that she could not even be excused for a few minutes during the day to pump milk, which sets you up for a lot of pain. In my state, I’m sure a nursing mother can be excused from service but not even this kind of common sense is universal.
