Joanne, I think there are millions more, including myself, that had no words over that train wreck.

Even more incentive for me to vote as soon as early voting begins here, as if I needed more incentive…

It was like a nightmare. I had to change the channel a couple of times.

We managed to sit through the whole thing and some commentary afterward, but it was massively disturbing. Still is this morning, too. I’m glad you took a couple of breaks and hope that you are navigate the aftermath okay.

Thanks, Joanne. I’ve been limiting my FB time today. Heard the people in charge of the debates plan to add more structure/rules, so that’s good.

I chose not to watch. I knew it would destroy my sleep and self care is critical in these times. I knew what it would be. I knew my mind would not be changed. I knew it would re-affirm what I already knew.

We decided not to watch. Then I caved and watched some but after about 15 minutes, I lost the strength to continue. What I witnessed has stayed with me all day. A genuine sadness and undercurrent of dread.

A totally understandable reaction. I’m hoping that being able to get votes in soon will help to bring some sense of hope and agency.
