“May the wounds which pierce us open us to the Divine Center and to each other.”
– quote accompanying a Healing Mandala Quilt by Janet Rutkowski (2002), hanging on the wall of the Interfaith Chapel at Wilson Hospital, Johnson CIty NY
I prayed beside this quilt during my parents’ hospitalization last week.

A great, inspirational quote. Again, I’m so glad your parents both made it through their day! I hope they are continuing to mend.
Thanks for sharing this, Joanne 🙂

Thanks, Linda. I’m a bit behind on answering comments, because I’ve been spending a lot of time up at my parents’ apartment, but they are both doing very well. My dad is driving today for the first time since the surgery.

Thanks, Steph, for your well-wishes. I’m happy to report that my parents are doing very well. They are already starting to add stairs back into their daily walks. I hope we are all so resilient in our 80s!
