It made me wonder if there was an etymological link between those two words. 30 seconds of research says no. So it is their similar sounds that resonate with us on a deeper level.

There are so many instances in literature and philosophy of the life-death-life dynamic. Also, the meaning of darkness is complex. Where are we now and where are we going? It’s hard to say.
