One-Liner Wednesday

In response to LindaGHill’s One-Liner Wednesday concept:

“In spite of illness, in spite even of the archenemy sorrow, one can remain alive long past the usual date of disintegration if one is unafraid of change, insatiable in intellectual curiosity, interested in big things, and happy in small ways.”
– Edith Wharton

      1. It’s the thought that counts. 😉 No biggie – it’s just that your post will get more hits if you do it on Wednesday. Next week? I’ll look forward to it. 😀

    1. Earlier this month, my husband and I visited The Mount, which was Edith Wharton’s home in Lenox MA. This quote was engraved on a stone in the Italian sunken garden on the grounds. It had been placed there as a memorial during the restoration of the house and grounds, which had fallen into disrepair. I loved the quote and copied it out to bring home. I’m not sure where it originally appeared.
